Which Casino Games Are Most Popular? Insights from Over 10,000 Events

10,000 events

One of the first questions clients ask us is: “Which casino games should we choose for our event?”

After entertaining guests at more than 10,000 casino-themed events over the past 38 years, we’ve learned there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. The right mix of games depends on your guests, the type of event, and the experience you want to create.

Whether it’s a corporate holiday party, charity fundraiser, wedding reception, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, milestone birthday, or private celebration, we’ve seen certain trends emerge time and time again. Here’s what experience has taught us.

Blackjack: The Undisputed Favorite

If we had to choose just one game for almost any event, it would be Blackjack. It’s familiar, easy to learn, and moves at a comfortable pace. Most guests already know the basics, and those who don’t can be playing confidently after just a few hands with one of our professional dealers. Because players can easily join or leave the game between hands, Blackjack keeps guests moving while maintaining a lively atmosphere throughout the evening. After thousands of events, it continues to be our most requested casino game.

Roulette: Fun for Everyone

Roulette is a close second. Unlike many casino games, there’s virtually no learning curve. Guests simply place their chips, the wheel spins, and everyone shares in the excitement. Roulette appeals to experienced players and complete beginners alike, making it one of the easiest games to include at virtually any event. If you’re planning your first casino party, you can never go wrong with Blackjack and Roulette.

Poker: It Depends on Your Guests

Poker is a little different. If your guests are experienced card players, Texas Hold’em can quickly become one of the busiest tables of the night. However, for many corporate events, weddings, and private parties, we often recommend Three Card Poker instead. Why? Three Card Poker is much easier to learn, hands are completed more quickly, and players rotate through the table at a faster pace. That means more guests get an opportunity to play without long waits. Texas Hold’em is an excellent choice when you know your guests enjoy poker. For most entertainment events, however, Three Card Poker usually provides the better overall experience.

Craps: The Surprise Favorite

Craps is the game that intimidates guests the most…

…until they play it.

People often walk past the table thinking it looks complicated. Within a few minutes, one of our dealers has them rolling the dice, cheering for complete strangers, and celebrating every winning roll. No other casino game creates the same level of excitement or group participation. By the end of the evening, Craps is frequently the table guests talk about the most. It’s proof that sometimes the most intimidating game becomes the biggest hit once someone takes the time to explain it.

Big 6 Money Wheel: Perfect for the Non-Gambler

Not everyone attending your event wants to learn card games or betting strategies. Some guests simply want to join the fun. That’s exactly why we love including the Big 6 Money Wheel. There are no complicated rules to learn. Guests place a chip on the wheel, watch it spin, and celebrate when it lands on their number. It’s colorful, interactive, and a great option for guests who don’t consider themselves gamblers but still want to participate in the casino experience.

Choosing the Right Mix

One thing we’ve learned after more than 10,000 events is that the best casino party isn’t built around a single game—it’s built around your guests.

For most events, we recommend a balanced mix that includes:

  • Blackjack
  • Roulette
  • Craps
  • Three Card Poker or Texas Hold’em, depending on your guests’ experience
  • Big 6 Money Wheel when your group includes many first-time or non-gambling guests

Every event is different, which is why we take the time to learn about your audience before recommending the perfect combination of games.

Experience Matters

After 38 years in business, we’ve discovered that guests rarely remember how many hands they won or how many chips they collected.

They remember cheering around the Craps table, celebrating a winning spin at Roulette, laughing with friends at Blackjack, and trying a game they’d never played before.

That’s what makes a casino party memorable.

At Philly Casino Parties, we don’t just rent casino tables—we help create experiences that bring people together. And after more than 10,000 successful events, we’ve learned exactly how to build a casino night your guests will be talking about long after the last chip has been cashed in.
